1. What OmnibusPrice.eu does and does not do
OmnibusPrice.eu is a technical SaaS service for online stores. It helps create independent evidence of prices displayed to customers. The service works mainly with a product XML feed, records price changes and calculates the lowest recorded price for a selected period, typically the last 30 days.
The service doesread product feeds, record price changes, availability, currency, import time, calculations and technical logs needed for an auditable price history.
The service does not doreplace legal advice, automatically guarantee compliance with every legal obligation, set selling prices or act as competitor price monitoring.
Important: the widget value is technical information derived from the recorded price history. The online store operator remains responsible for the source feed, discounts, coupons, campaigns and how prices are displayed in the store.
2. Service operator and contractual relationship
The operator of OmnibusPrice.eu is the entity stated in the website footer, order, invoice or separate terms of service. Before public launch, the full company identification details should be completed: company name, registered address, company ID, VAT/tax IDs, contact e-mail and register details where applicable.
The website acts as the presentation and registration part of the service. After entering an e-mail address and feed URL, the user may be redirected to app.omnibusprice.eu, where account, feeds, products, imports, reports and widget settings are managed.
3. GDPR and personal data protection
The service may process personal data of users who create an account, submit a feed, contact support or use the administration area. Typical data includes e-mail, name, phone number, IP address, technical logs, login history, account settings, customer/account data and billing data.
GDPR roles
- OmnibusPrice.eu as controller: for registration, account management, billing, communication, security, marketing of its own service and website operation.
- OmnibusPrice.eu as processor: if the customer submits personal data into the service and processing is performed on the customer’s instructions as part of using the service.
- Customer/online store as controller: responsible for the lawfulness of data provided through the feed, API or administration area.
Legal bases for processing
- performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps when registering and using the service,
- legitimate interest in security, abuse prevention, technical logging and service improvement,
- compliance with legal obligations in accounting, billing and requests from authorities,
- consent where required, for example for selected marketing or analytics tools.
Data subject rights
A data subject may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, object to processing and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Requests can be sent to the contact e-mail stated below or in the website footer.
If a customer requires a data processing agreement / DPA, it should be provided as part of the terms of service or as a separate document when activating the service.
4. Product feed, prices and technical data
The product feed is the core input of the service. The service processes mainly product identifier, product URL, price including VAT, optionally price excluding VAT, VAT rate, currency, availability, import time, import status, technical errors and calculations related to the lowest recorded price.
The product feed should not contain personal data of the store’s customers. If the customer inserts personal data into the feed or administration area, the customer is responsible for having an appropriate legal basis.
OmnibusPrice.eu does not import historical prices retroactively before feed activation unless expressly agreed otherwise. Evidence starts from activation and the first successful import.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The website and application may use technical cookies required for website operation, login, security, remembering the language version and basic session settings. Analytics or marketing cookies should only be used in accordance with applicable rules and, where required, with user consent.
If a cookie banner or external analytics tools are deployed, their exact list, purpose, retention period and data recipients should be added.
6. Security and access rights
The service is designed as a multi-tenant SaaS where customer data is separated by customer account. Application access is based on user account, role and permissions. The system may record login history, IP address, user-agent, security events and setting changes.
- passwords should only be stored as secure hashes, never in readable form,
- API keys should only be stored as hashes,
- support access or impersonation must be audited,
- data access should be limited according to the user role.
7. Retention and storage
Price history is stored according to the customer’s active plan and retention settings. Audit and security logs may be stored longer where necessary to prove system activity, protect legal claims, ensure security or comply with legal obligations.
The Free/NANO plan is intended for basic service validation and currently counts up to 10 active products. Paid plans may provide more products, feeds, higher import frequency, longer history and reports.
8. Basic terms of use
- The customer is responsible for the correctness and availability of the feed and for the right to provide data to the service.
- The service calculates values from the data it has recorded. If the feed does not contain correct prices or availability, the result may be incomplete or incorrect.
- The widget displays a simple price information item, for example: Lowest price in the last 30 days: €1.75.
- The service is not a law firm and does not provide a legal opinion on whether a specific campaign, discount or store communication meets all legal requirements.
- For feed errors, zero prices, significant anomalies or currency changes, the system may reject the import, mark it as partial or require review.
